TERMS & CONDITIONS

AGE REQUIREMENT: For groups A, B drivers must be over 21 years old. For any other vehicle group, min age of the driver must be 23 and max 70 years old. A valid driving license held for at least one year is required from the driver.
PAYMENT METHOD: For all groups a valid Credit/Debit Card accepted by Naxos Story Cars, must be shown for the pre-authorization of the renter's liability as well as the settlement of final rental charges (for non prepaid reservations). An international driving license is not required for license holders of the following countries: EU, United Kingdom of Great Britain and N. Ireland, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, USA, Canada, Australia, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Central African Republic, Chile, Costa Rica, Ivory Coast, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ecuador, Georgia, Ghana, Guyana, Holy See, Indonesia, Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Mexico, Moldova, Monaco, Mongolia, Montenegro, Morocco, Niger, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, San Marino, Senegal, Serbia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tajikistan, Thailand, North Macedonia, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Zimbabwe. Although we try to ensure that all prices quoted on our websites are accurate, errors may sometimes occur. We will inform you as soon as possible if we discover an error in the price of your reservation and give you the opportunity to confirm your booking at the correct price or cancel. Our usual cancellation charges will not apply if you choose to cancel. If you cancel and you have already paid for your rental, you will receive a full refund. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat your reservation as cancelled.
DEPOSIT FOR GUARANTEE: For rentals by our company, upon pick up of the vehicle, will preauthorize an amount from the driver's credit/debit card as a deposit for guarantee which will be fully refunded at the end of the rental, provided no other charges arise. Please note that the refund can take up to 14 days, depending on the issuing bank of the credit/debit card. The amount of the deposit varies according to the car group. Specifically: • A, B: €300 • C, D, E: €450 • F, G, J: €650 TRAFFIC FINES: All fines resulting from the drivers conduct are born solely by the renter. Additionally in case of a fine due to a violation of the Greek Traffic laws the renter has the obligation to pay a non-refundable fee (Fine Administation Fee) of €15, to cover administration expenses.
INSURANCE: All authorized drivers of Naxos Story Cars vehicles are covered against damages from Fire to the rented vehicle, and Liability Insurance to Third Party death, injury, and property. Both coverages are subject to General Terms our insurance contract with Insurer.
COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW-FDW): The renters liability for damage to the rented vehicle, can be reduced, under the condition that the Greek Traffic Law is not violated, to a charge of €650 for groups A, B, €800 for groups C, D, E and €1,000 for groups F, G, J, by paying €9 (CDW) per day. Damage to the underside of the car, glasses, wheels and the tires is not covered. The renter may reduce the above liability (FDW) to a charge of €160 for groups A, B, €200 for groups C, D, E and €300 for groups F, G, J by paying additional 18€ per rental day.
YOUNG DRIVER'S SURCHARGE: Young driver surcharge allows customers aged 19 & 20 years old to rent a category A and B vehicle under the condition that they hold a drivers license for at least 12 months prior to the pickup day. “Young drivers surcharge” is available for 10€ with maximum charge the 50€ per rental. Young drivers are required to use also the CDW insurance.
ROAD ASSISTANCE: Road Assistance service is free for cases that do involved a mechanical damage of the vehicle. In cases that the driver is responsible such as: 1) Lockout Assistance, in case the renter is locked outside the car, 2) Jump-Start/Fuel Assistance, in case the renter's vehicle face battery failure or runs out of gas, 3) Tire change Assistance, in case of the renters needs help to change a flat tire, there will be an additional charge of 60€.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Your reservation can be canceled up to 2 hours before the pick-up time of the car you stated in your reservation. For pre-paid bookings, if you cancel the booking up to 48 hours before the start of the rental, your card will be refunded the full amount of the booking. Otherwise, the amount of the reservation minus the late cancellation fee of €40 will be refunded to your card. In the event that a pre-paid reservation is made within 48 hours of the start of the rental, and then it is cancelled, then the amount of the reservation will be returned to your card minus the late cancellation fee of €40. In reservations where payment is made upon collection of the car, cancellation is permitted up to the start of the rental without any charge. In the case that the renter does not show up to pick up the rented vehicle on the day and time of the reservation without prior notice, Naxos Story Cars has the right to cancel your reservation after 30 minutes without prior written notice.
INCIDENT ADMINISTRATION FEE (IAF): In case of an accident regardless of renter’s liability, the renter has the obligation to pay a non-refundable fee of €30, to cover administration expenses.
ADDITIONAL DRIVER/S: A charge of €5 per day has to be paid for each additional Driver. BIOLOGICAL CLEANING CHARGE: Applicable if upon return the vehicle requires cleaning beyond the usual cleaning to prepare it for the next rental. The biological cleaning charge is €160. For cases where we need to clean a seat, a child seat and not the whole saloon the charge is reduced to €60. FUEL SERVICE POLICY: The renter is obliged to check the tank level of the rental car upon pick up time and to return it at the same level. If during drop off, the amount of fuel is less than at the time of pick up , then the "Fuel Service Charge" service will be charged in addition to the charge for the missing fuel. (Cost of Fuel Service Charge: €10).
BABY SEATS: The 1st child or baby seat is available free of charge only after reservation and each subsequent one has a 5€ charge per day. GPS: Available on request with a daily charge of €8. FLEET AVAILABILITY: The Company reserves the right to provide a different car model to that originally reserved of an equivalent or higher model type.
COLLECTION / DELIVERY: Pickup/delivery of the car at your location (home or hotel) beyond 10 Km from the city of Naxos has an additional cost of €30 once. Any delivery or pick-up during the early hours of the morning (23:30 to 06:00) is by arrangement and may incur an additional charge of up to €50.
FERRY TRANSPORTATION: Allowed only with the prior written approval of our company and provided that the renter has accepted the Ferry Boat Cover. Otherwise, the renter is liable for all damages that may have been caused for any reason to the rented vehicle during its transfer, regardless of any coverage and liability restrictions accepted and paid at the start of the rental.
The Ferry Boat Cover with an additional cost of €20 per day and a maximum charge of €60 per rental.
